Comfort
When it comes to selecting the best preschool mat for your kid, you need to pay a lot of attention to the levels of comfort provided by the same. As the mat proves to be the sole barrier in between the hard floor and the kid, you need to settle for a product that is at least 2 inches thick and offers the maximum cushioning. While some mats possess a vinyl covering for easier cleanups, they may not be the ideal solution for the skin of your child and her health alike—what do you do? Look around for a mat that contains a soft material at least on one side; but then, if she is still being potty trained and finds it hard to give out warning signals, and then it is a good idea to buy one that contains a vinyl/ water proof layer. This keeps the stuffed material dry.
Portability
If your daycare so requires, you need to transport the mat to the center on a daily basis. If you would like to make things easier for yourself and your child, then do invest in a napmat that boasts of high levels of portability and is easy to transport. As you look around, you will come across certain mats that are very convenient to roll up and have a string attached to hold it together. Others come packaged along with a pillow, which may not prove to be a necessity for your kid. However, if at all she wants one, and then do ensure that the cushion is firmly attached to the surface of the mat—thus ensuring that it does not get lost in transit and can be easily cleaned too; along with the mat!
Washability
All the best!
